Composition

BIMAT LS Eye Drops may be prescribed for:

How It Works
Bimatoprost helps increase the natural drainage of fluid from the eye, thereby lowering intraocular pressure.
Directions for Use
Use only in the dose and for the duration prescribed by your ophthalmologist.
- Wash and dry your hands.
- Tilt your head backwards and gently pull down the lower eyelid.
- Hold the bottle above the eye without touching the dropper tip.
- Instil the prescribed number of drops using gentle pressure.
- Close the eye gently for one to two minutes.
- Replace the cap securely after every use.
If you use other eye medicines, maintain the interval recommended by your doctor.
Possible Side Effects
Common side effects may include:
- Eye redness
- Mild burning, itching or irritation
- Dry or watery eyes
- Temporary blurred vision
- Darkening of the iris or skin around the eye
- Gradual changes in eyelash length, thickness or colour
Contact your doctor if irritation persists, increases or if you experience severe eye pain, swelling or sudden changes in vision.
Precautions
- Inform your doctor about any existing or previous eye disease, injury, infection or surgery.
- Tell your doctor if you are pregnant, planning pregnancy or breastfeeding.
- Remove contact lenses before applying the drops. Benzalkonium chloride may be absorbed by soft contact lenses. Reinsert them only after the interval advised by your doctor.
- Do not touch the dropper tip to the eye, fingers or any surface, as this may contaminate the solution.
- Avoid driving until any temporary blurring of vision has cleared.
- Do not stop using the medicine without consulting your doctor, even if you feel well.
- This medicine is for ophthalmic/external use only and is not for injection.
Storage Instructions
- Store below 25°C.
- Keep out of the reach of children.
- Use the solution within one month of opening the vial.
- Keep the bottle tightly closed after each use.
